AAFF in short
The Festival of Films on Art and Artist Biographies, reborn under the name AsoloArtFilmFestival in 2001 after several years of interruption, with a history more than twenty years. Its origins date back to 1973 when it was founded upon a happy idea of Flavia Paulon (then director of the Venice Film Festival).
The festival from the beginning was marked by the luster of the participants who took part. Just to mention some of the jurors indicate: the art critic Guy Perocco, Umbro Apollonio, François Le Targat, film critics and Mario Verdone Nedo Ivaldi, the famous French art dealer Aimé Maeght, the Belgian director Henri Stork. Also passed perAsolo directors and famous artists such as Andrei Tarkovsky (also winner of the first edition of the Festival) Alain Resnais, Jean Rouch, Henri Stork, Adrian Maben, Luciano Emmer, George Treves, Plessi, Gaetano Pesce, Luca Verdone.
The competition, as usual, is open to anyone wishing to participate. The call for selections is spread all over the world and as a result, jobs posted each year come to represent over 50 countries for a total of about 500 works. The categories of the Festival, up to date with new techniques of expression, are divided into seven sections: films about art, American Artist, Film Architecture, Design on Film, Video Art & Computer Art Productions film schools, Harmony and Territory .
